L.A. Noire - May 17 2011
PS3/Xbox 360
L.A. Noire is from developers Team Bondi and
Rockstar Games famous for the Grand Theft Auto Series.
LA Noire is different in that the other side of the crime spectrum is
portrayed.
Acting as a detective in 1947 Los Angeles
you get to participate in a setting that really takes you back in
time. The soundtrack includes classics music and
performers from the era. Players will also hear over 30 classic licensed jazz tracks in the
game itself, including songs from such greats as Billie
Holiday, Dizzy
Gillespie, Ella
Fitzgerald, Louis
Armstrong and
Thelonious
Monk.
Multiple crimes to investigate plus many of the same
features that made GTA great fun with
plenty of vehicles to "borrow" along the way.
What will make L.A. Noire unique will probably be things
going at a more relaxed pace in portions of the game.. while doing dectective work, contaminating
evidence (we would never handle it this way today it would never hold up in
court, remember it's the 1940's things
were slightly different then) investigating crimes and trying to solve cases to continue the storyline.
You can expect to see L.A. Noire in stores in
May2011 for the PS3® and Xbox 360® console, but in typical
Rockstar fashion, I expect a PC release at a later date.
This little gem is an underdog at the moment but I have a feeling it
will gain popularity fast! ~HM~
