The Cryptic admitted that the transfer operations of Star Trek Online from PC to console has stopped and is now considered unlikely if the whole thing becomes a reality sometime in the future. When the title was presented for the first time in July 2008, the notice indicated that, in addition to PCs, it would be available for next generation consoles. Ultimately, Star Trek Online for PC released earlier than expected, but now Cryptic seems willing to make the transfer to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The Craig Zinkievich, executive producer of the title, although there was a clear response to the decision of the company, admitted that he sees the story is repeated so the Star Trek Online will have the same fate as the Champions Online-destined for Xbox 360, before finally canceling the transfer.

Starting a beta of Star Trek Online

As jointly announced Atari and Cryptic Studios, today declared the launch of open beta for the upcoming Star Trek Online. Those wishing to explore the early "last frontier" can visit the official website of the game and sign up for the trial version of the title and, of course, download the game client. To Star Trek Online, MMO's ambitious Cryptic, based on the legendary television / movie series, will be released in February 2010.

Open beta for Star Trek Online

The Cryptic said today that there will be an open beta for Star Trek Online. The beta will run from 12 until January 26 next year, and the keys will be given priority through the official website of the game. The Cryptic Studios has today released the minimum and recommended system requirements for Star Trek Online, which will be available in Europe on February 5. The second MMO for PC by Cryptic in less than a year, the first Champions Online was released in September, is currently in beta stage and will offer both battles in space and on the ground.
